celebrating the gift of education

The first-ever event honoring graduates from the dependent scholarship program was held in May at Jordan Commons in Sandy , Utah . Nineteen students from schools across the country will graduate in varied fields of study in 2024 . The event celebrated their success in completing and achieving their goals in pursuing higher education .
Graduates shared their fields of study , future plans , their experiences participating in the scholarship program , and they expressed their gratitude to Gail Miller for her immense generosity and the positive impact this scholarship had on them and their families .
Gail Miller encouraged the graduates to take their place in society as teachers and leaders . She reminded the graduates that in all they do , there will be choices and to be on the side of good . “ Use good judgment when deciding what to believe and who to listen to . Rather than seeing where your degree will take you , see where you can take your degree .”
