On April 24 , members of the Miller family and the Larry H . Miller Company gathered at Sherwood Park on the west side of Salt Lake City to clean up baseball fields , paint the bleachers and restore the BBQ area to foster community gathering and youth sports participation at the park .
In addition to Sherwood Park , service projects throughout the week in Utah included assembling menstrual kits for those experiencing homelessness with the Policy Project ’ s Period Project , serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House , cleaning and campus beautification efforts with Bridle-Up Hope , and cleaning vehicles for Neighborhood House , where Larry H . Miller spent time as a child on the west side of Salt Lake City .
In Meridian , Idaho , employees of Aspen Transitional Rehab , a skilled nursing facility , held a facility-wide food drive to aid local students struggling with food insecurity . All proceeds went to the Meridian Foodbank ’ s Backpack Program , which provides food-insecure students with access to meals on the weekend .
Thanks to their efforts , more than 285 pounds of food were donated to support local students .
From California to Tennessee to Pennsylvania and Utah , participants sported matching Larry H . Miller Week of Service t-shirts .
