LHM MEGAPLEX NFT GAINS THE ATTENTION OF TECH COMMUNITY

BJ Vander Linden , the chief information officer for the Larry H . Miller Company , and Ryan Miner , vice president of digital strategy at Larry H . Miller Megaplex Theatres , were recently invited to showcase their trailblazing nonfungible token ( NFT ) program on the center stage at Silicon Slopes HQ .
They were hosted by Christian Reza , Co-Chair for Silicon Slopes Web3 , and joined by Madeleine Chambers , Trevor Allen , and Henrique Tedeschi from the Megaplex Digital Team .
During the event , the team shared the exciting genesis for Megaplex ’ s firstin-the-industry NFT , from concept and engineering to launch and community engagement .
The program , which launched last November , features a tokenized membership that allows the holder of the NFT certain real-world privileges at the theatres . These privileges include a limited edition 220 Oz popcorn tub with free refills for five years , early access film screenings , tickets to Sundance film festival shows , movie swag from the Hollywood studios , and gated access to an online community of movie fans .
During the presentation Ryan also shared his philosophy on the innovation process and the role of technology in transforming the movie-going experience . BJ further highlighted the emphasis that the Larry H . Miller Company places on thought leadership and how trying new things , even when hard , will lead to new ways of creating value for customers .
