STORIES OF CULTURE AND LEADING BY EXAMPLE FROM ACROSS THE COMPANY
Close Encounters of the celebrity kind
As an official host venue of the Sundance Film Festival, General Manager Tom Straup and his team at the new Megaplex location in Park City got a chance to interact with a few celebrities, including Oscar winners Benedict Cumberbatch and Marlee Matlin.
Cumberbatch is best known as playing Dr. Strange in the Marvel Universe but was in Park City to promote his role as the grieving father in“ The Thing with Feathers.” Matlin premiered“ Not Alone Anymore,” a documentary about her life, career, and activism. Matlin became the first deaf actor to win an Oscar in 1987.
Tom has worked for Megaplex for 10 years and has done exceptional work helping to get the new Park City location up and running. His quiet leadership style and hyper-focus on guest experience brings smiles to every guest and Oscar winner.

TallyCM, the construction management arm of Larry H. Miller Real Estate, extended their support to the Thunderbirds Charities, a nonprofit organization formed in 1986
to distribute monies raised through the WM Phoenix Open. Its mission is to support organizations that assist children and families, help people in need and improve the quality of life in the Greater Phoenix area. This year, TallyCM provided free admission to the WM Phoenix Open golf tournament to all First Responders, Military Members, and Veterans. TallyCM, which has one of its satellite offices in Arizona, is grateful to be able to give back to those who risk their lives to make our country and community safe and strong.
