It opened to long lines of new customers anxiously anticipating their first dirty soda experience in their state . Feb . 16 , 2024 – The Salt Lake Bees coaching staff was announced and featured the return of Keith Johnson to the dugout for his ninth season as Bees manager . January 30 , 2024 – In a ceremony at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda , Special Olympics Utah , the ShowUp Foundation and SUU announced a three-year agreement to host the ‘ Special Olympics Utah Summer Games ’ on the SUU campus . In the agreement , Special Olympics Utah will work with the university through the Larry H . Miller Utah Summer Games to host the event as a kickoff to USG ’ s June programming calendar .
January 12 , 2024 – Steve Starks , CEO of the Larry H . Miller Company , and Amanda Covington , chief corporate affairs officer , participated in sports panel for the Utah Economic Outlook & Public Policy Summit hosted by the Salt Lake Chamber . Steve , along with other Utah sports leaders , gave an update on efforts to bring MLB to SLC and discussed how sports enrich communities and our economy .
December 16 , 2023 – Utah ’ s Larry H . Miller Megaplex Theatres at Jordan Commons in Sandy ranked first in North America for the opening of Wonka , according to industry tracking sources . LHM Megaplex also scored four of the top 10 spots . In all , eight Megaplex locations ranked in the top 40 outlets in the United States , Canada and Mexico .
December 13 , 2023 – The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation was featured in an article from KSL . com on Utah businesses that gave back to the community in 2023 .
The article highlighted the Family Foundation ’ s $ 3.5 million donation to the Huntsman Mental Health Foundation , which will help fund the construction of the new Kem and Carolyn Gardner Mental Health Crisis Care Center .
December 5 , 2023 – Members of the Miller family and the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation spent an evening with Utah Foster Care to spread holiday cheer to children in foster care and those who look after them . Foster families were invited to Megaplex Theatres at Jordan Commons to enjoy free treats from Crumbl Cookies , a photo-op with Santa and Mrs . Claus and a private screening of a new movie .
