Gail Miller instructs LHM Summit attendees on philanthropy and the power of collaboration .
At the Larry H . Miller Summit Philanthropy Session held on October 28 , 2022 , Gail Miller , spoke about the importance of giving back and building the communities around us . She shared how the Miller family and the company ’ s foundation have made philanthropy a priority .

In the early years , Larry and Gail Miller put all their extra income back into the business allowing for tremendous growth across several industries . After several years of reinvesting in the business , Larry said , “ We are now at a point where the business is financially secure and we can start to give in a very big way philanthropically .” This led to the creation of their family foundation , which focuses on five areas : health and medicine , shelter and food security , education and training , jobs and economic self-reliance , and cultural and spiritual enrichment .
“ Our goal is to help make our communities better because we are there ,” Gail added . She also emphasized the importance of service , stating that , “ Service , in my opinion , is the universal ingredient that brings people together .”
