The Jesse Tree of Idaho is an organization that provides a safety net for low-income families at the brink
of homelessness. “Give Us Five” dollars from employees in Idaho made a big difference for them.

strength by documenting their journey (Beads
of Courage).
Donations granted in Colorado are helping
needy families at Christmas (Joyful Journeys
Community Enrichment), and pregnant teens
are learning to become self-sufficient (Hope
House of Colorado). Kids aging out of foster
care are receiving assistance (America’s Kids
Belong – Colorado), and hungry students are
obtaining food for weekends (Jeffco Eats).
Funding is also helping low-income families
gain access to better paying jobs (Emergency
Family Assistance Association).
Through Give Us Five donations,
underserved children in Idaho are receiving
beds (Sleep In Heavenly Peace). New Mexico
families experiencing food insecurity are being
helped (PB&J Family Services), and women
in crisis are benefiting from financial literacy
classes. (Steelbridge Ministries).
Funding granted in Spokane, Washington, is
providing hygiene and beauty items to women
in need (Project Beauty Share), and hungry
families are receiving food (Second Harvest
Inland Northwest). Low-income children
and families are attending the
Mobius Children’s Museum.
Families with children and
young adults are experiencing
emotional growth and healing
in an equine-assisted program
(Second Hand Ranch).
Utah donations are helping
dyslexic students (Decoding
Dyslexia), assisting children
who have been abused (Friends
of the S.L. Co. Children’s
Justice Center), and providing
specialized forensic nurse
services to women who have
been sexually assaulted (Safe
Harbor). Grants to Kony Coins
for Kids, Bear Hugs for Kids,
and 14 school districts along the Wasatch Front
are delivering the joy of Christmas to children
in need.
The holidays are a great time to think of
those who are less fortunate. Any funding
employees donate to Larry H. Miller Charities
is matched by Gail Miller, doubling its impact.
Contact your human resources or payroll
administrator and donate this holiday season. ◆
