Employee committees from each of the LHM
Group’s 10 major markets determine which
charities receive funding. In this issue, we are
featuring giving in Corona, California, and
Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Corona employees have reached out to
help low-income families during the holidays
through a contribution to Corona-Norco
Settlement House for the Spark of Love Toy
Drive. Underprivileged children will now have
gifts under the tree and smiles on their faces
this Christmas. A donation to the Corona Fire
Safety Foundation is supporting a free CPR
training program. The majority of participants
are students at Corona’s three high schools, and
the program aims to have every student trained
in CPR, AED, and choking intervention before
graduation. Employees also contributed to
Friends of the Corona Public Library and Books
for Babies program. As part of the program,
parents of each baby born at Corona Regional
Hospital will receive a special literacy kit that
encourages reading to their child.
In Colorado Springs, a donation to Catholic
Charities of Central Colorado earlier this year
benefited programs and services that support
child safety and parent education. Funding went
toward items such as car seats for children, cribs,
child safety items, and parenting education
materials.
Colorado Springs
is home to both U.S.
Army and U.S. Air
Force military bases,
and supporting those
who serve our country
is a priority in the
community. Funding
granted to The Home
Front Cares provided
emergency assistance
to families of veterans
for necessities such
as rent, utilities, and
transportation.
