Packing diapers in Utah. Working with Habitat for Humanity in
Colorado. Preserving history in California. Sorting food in Arizona.
Helping clean up the city in Albuquerque. Bringing new life to a
garden in Boise. These are just a few examples—just a fragment— of
the places and causes that LHM employees were involved in during the
2018 Day of Service that took place on April 26.
Held each year in honor of Larry H. Miller’s birthday, the 2018
event was held on a clear, sunny day with great weather in every region.
While participation is not required, more than 2,000 employees
from across the company joined forces to go into the world and “go
about doing good.” It was a great way to serve others, but it was
also a wonderful way to bond as co-workers and to have some fun
along the way. If the following pictures are any indication, those who
participated won’t soon forget the experience—and will be looking
forward to serving next year as well. ◆
