Roman Gelfand, Devin Schubert, Sevan Stryker, and Ray Rielly present a donation to Dolls for Daughters and Kenzi’s Kidz. COLORADO NEW MEXICO Your Give Us Five Dollars at Work A Glance at LHM Charities at Work in Colorado and New Mexico The Larry H. Miller (LHM) Group of Companies focuses on enriching lives, and LHM Charities helps us achieve this mission by supporting nonprofits that assist women and children. Funding stays in the state where it is contributed and is directed toward programs that address the issues of health and education. New Mexico employees are supporting CLNKids with a contribution from LHM Charities. The charity assists children and families who are homeless. The donation is providing tuition assistance to mothers, emergency funds for families, and funding for a children’s food program. Colorado employees are supporting numerous groups through donations from LHM Charities. A grant to Pikes Peak Therapeutic Riding Center is helping youth who have disabilities or emotional, behavioral, or mental issues. Working with horses creates a higher level of engagement in youth as they participate in the therapeutic process. A contribution was also made to The Resource Exchange to assist children with developmental delays or disabilities. In the Denver area, funding donated to Food for Hope is providing nourishment to needy children. Many students go hungry during times when they cannot access school lunch or breakfast. Food for Hope works to close the hunger gap by providing these children with food over weekends, and when possible, during extended holidays and summertime as well. Funding from LHM Charities is also supporting Denver charities such as Safehouse Denver, a domestic violence shelter, and Escuela de Guadalupe, a school that serves underserved children and provides dual-language education. Dolls for Daughters and Kenzi’s Kidz, a charity that provides toys to families in need during the holidays, also received funding. You can enrich lives in your local community by making monthly contributions to Larry H. Miller Charities through the Give Us 5 payroll deduction program. Any amount is welcome, and Gail Miller supports these efforts by matching employee donations dollar-perdollar. Contact your payroll or human resources administrator to learn how you can sign up.
