Miller Group. Its purpose is to document important events and milestones, as well as share the successes and achievements of our employees as they exemplify the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of the company. Announcements March 6, 2020: The Utah Jazz commemorated International Women’s Day at the Jazz vs. Toronto game. Jazz players wore custom shooting shirts, Jazz Dancers performed at halftime alongside high school performers, girls in Junior Jazz were recognized, and Jazz players Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell hosted groups that empower young women. March 25, 2020: The Utah Jazz launched Bear’s Reading Challenge to engage students who were learning remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. Bear’s Reading Challenge, named after the Jazz’s mascot, was open to youth in grades K-12. 3,600 youth read more than 2.1 million minutes during this month-long challenge. April 3, 2020: Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell participated in the first-ever NBA 2K Players Tournament on ESPN and ESPN2. Competition was between 16 current NBA players. Mitchell owned the No. 4 seed, which was determined by his NBA 2K rating (87) and his tenure. He was matched against Washington Wizards forward Rui Hachimura in Round 1. The tournament champion selected a charity to receive a $100,000 donation in support of COVID-19 relief eff orts. April 3, 2020: LHM Tour of Utah announced the postponement of its 2020 professional cycling stage race due to public health concerns from the coronavirus pandemic. April 10, 2020: The Utah Jazz unveiled Jazz Youth at Home, a slate of programming to engage students during remote learning occurring due to the coronavirus pandemic. The content series is part of the NBA Together campaign that aims to support, educate and inspire youth, families and fans in staying physically and mentally healthy and active during this unprecedented time. The Jazz also recently launched a 30-day FIT challenge, in partnership with University of Utah Health, to promote health and wellness. April 10, 2020: Kathy Farrow, VP of People & Culture at Megaplex Theatres, was selected by Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s HR Professionals of the Year. Kathy retired from Megaplex Theatres after 20 years of service in the Group.
