L
ike many professionals sports teams,
the Salt Lake City Stars occasionally
wear themed jerseys. Sometimes, it’s just
for fun, but other times, the jerseys have
a deeper meaning. Such was the case on
March 6, when the Stars wore a custom red,
white, and blue jersey featuring the LHM
charities logo.
The goal was the raise awareness for first
responders in the Salt Lake City community.
At half-time during the game, the digital
marketing staff for Larry H. Miller
Dealerships presented a $10,000 donation
to the Utah 1033 foundation. Utah 1033
provides immediate financial support to the
families of fallen Utah Law Enforcement
officers. Named for the radio code “10-33,”
which means an officer is in urgent need
of help.
Moments like these are a crucial part of
enriching the lives of those around us and
allow us to educate the public on the many
philanthropic outreach opportunities they
can participate in along with us. ◆
