ROD ROWLEY UTAH JAZZ TAKE TO THE COURT FOR CHARITY SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS, MILLER AUTOMOTIVE OPERATIONS Rod Rowley has more than 29 years of experience in the automotive industry, with 24 of those years with LHM, beginning in 1985 as a salesperson for what was then Landmark Chevrolet. In his time with the Group, Rod has held a variety of positions, including: finance manager, sales manager, used car manager and general sales manager. He also served as general manager of LHM Oldsmobile Cadillac Subaru from 1997 to 2001, LHM Chevrolet Murray from 2001 to 2009, LHM Volkswagen Avondale (2009), LHM Dodge Ram Peoria (2010) and LHM Chevrolet Provo from 2012 to 2013. Rod has served as president of the Rocky Mountain Chevrolet Dealers Association and is a graduate of the Miller Business Academy. In his free time, Rod enjoys family gatherings and playing golf. He is also an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Rod has four daughters, one son and is a proud grandparent to six grandchildren. He lives in Draper, Utah. JENNIFER CROSBY VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, MILLER AUTOMOTIVE OPERATIONS Jennifer Crosby joined the LHM Group in 2009 as a human resources generalist and has served as a human resources manager and director. Jennifer helps educate dealership management to ensure compliance with state and federal legislation, and works with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel, benefits and employment-law related matters. Prior to her time with the LHM Group, Jennifer worked as an on-site manager for AppleOne Staffing and as HR operations manager for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. She earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from Chapman University in Orange, California, a professional of human resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute, and professional of Society of Human Recourse Management Certification. Jennifer enjoys finding any reason to laugh, fish and read in her spare time. The sold-out gala raised $100,000 for Special Olympics Utah. Steve Starks (LHMSE); D’Arcy Dixon Pignanelli with Special Olympics Utah; Gail Miller; and Jay Francis were on hand for the check presentation. On March 15, the Utah Jazz hosted “An Evening with the Utah Jazz” at Vivint Smart Home Arena. This new, signature gala was a night of inspiration benefiting Larry H. Miller Charities and Special Olympics Utah. The evening began with Special Olympics Utah athletes greeting guests as they arrived at the arena. As everyone made their way down to the main court, they had the opportunity to take part in interactive games with Jazz players and take photos with Jazz Bear and in the team’s locker room. Special Olympics Utah athlete and Global Messenger Anna Thain tipped off the program, sharing her story of being a Special Trevor Booker dishes an Olympics basketball assist to a young guest. player for 27 years. After hearing her testimony and excitement at being on the home floor of the Jazz, the Jazz celebrities were introduced, with a lottery taking place for their table assignments. The night also featured remarks from Head Coach Quin Snyder, a conversation with Jazz legends Antoine Carr and Mehmet Okur, and player participation in the live auction. The evening, which was a celebration of sport, concluded with a presentation of a $100,000 donation to Special Olympics Utah, which will enable year-round sports training, competitions and programs for children and adult athletes with intellectual disabilities throughout the state.
