L Y LL Y, LE On March 12, 2013, The Zone Sports Network announced its three stations would become NBC Sports Radio affiliates. The affiliation serves to not only strengthen the mix of local and national programming, but features national commentators, many of which will make regular contributions to The Zone’s local programming. “Through our superstation, The Zone has assembled the finest sports programming in Utah with the addition of NBC Sports Radio,” commented Chris Baum, senior vice president of broadcasting for Miller Sports Properties. NBC Sports Radio is distributed through Dial Global, and The Zone will be the broadcast home for NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships and expanded coverage of the National Football League, including Monday Night Football and the Super Bowl. The Zone Sports Network stations, broadcasting from Salt Lake City, Utah, include 1280 The Zone (KZNS-AM), 97.5 (KZNS-FM) and 960 (KOVO-AM).
