UTAH Nowhere to Go But Up LHM Dealership Wins Award from Industry Publication E Dan Johnson (MAO), Will Kidman (MBL), Mike Choate (MBL), GM Ray Gunn (MBL) mployees and managers for all LHM Dealerships were pleased to be honored by a major industry publication for their efforts in the area of fixed operations. Fixed operations refers to the parts, service, and body shop areas of the dealership world and the industry magazine Fixed Operations discusses issues in their field. In its December issue, it gave out The Leadership Award to LHM Dealerships, spotlighting Ray Gunn and the team at LHM Mercedes-Benz of Draper. In describing the dealership, the magazine highlighted the dealership’s focus on guiding and educating new leaders. “At Mercedes-Benz of Draper, there are guidelines for how everything should be done and expectations that are set right away. The staff of the dealership depends on one another for success.” The magazine also put the spotlight on employee Taylor Bice, a rising star who has grown in his time at the dealership, working his way up through several positions. He notes that the opportunity to rise through the ranks is a big part of company culture, not only at MBL but within the LHM Group as a whole. ◆ UTAH Woman of the Year Gail Miller Honored By Cox Automotive C ox Automotive, a major player in the automotive world that includes, among other things, Kelley Blue Book, Autotrader.com, and Dealer. com, has given their Woman of the Year award to Gail Miller. The honor is given to women in the automotive world who show a commitment to community and who also show business leadership. The award was presented at a special ceremony on January 26. “Gail exemplifies this award by sharing many of the qualities and values that we admire in Mrs. Cox,” said Cox Automotive President Sandy Schwartz. “In addition to growing from one Toyota dealership to more than 60 dealerships today, Gail is a renaissance woman with her business influence spanning multiple industries, including professional sports.
