May 30, 2019: Jazz Gaming joined the Salt
Lake Bees to celebrate “Gaming Night” on
Tuesday, June 4, at Smith’s Ballpark when the
Bees faced the San Antonio Missions. Members
of Jazz Gaming played NBA 2K with fans on
the plaza, and Spencer “Ria” Wyman, the No.
1 overall selection in the 2019 NBA 2K League
Draft, threw the ceremonial first pitch.
May 31, 2019: It was announced that the Los
Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League
will play a preseason game at Vivint Smart
Home Arena on Saturday, September 21.
June 5, 2019: Organizers of the 2019 LHM
Tour of Utah revealed details for the 477-mile
(767.8-kilometer) race route taking place across
northern Utah on August 12–18.

named to the list of 2019
“Top Companies to Work
for in Arizona” by The
Arizona Republic. This
marked the fourth consecutive year LHM Dodge
Ram Avondale earned a place on the list.
June 16, 2019: It was announced that Jazz
Gaming acquired guard Lytel “Lotty” Martin
from HEAT Check Gaming in exchange for guard
Bobby “MOAM” Wilson.
June 17, 2019: Jazz forward Royce O’Neale
kicked off Jazz Youth’s summer programming
with an appearance at a Rookie Camp session
of Jazz Youth Camps and Clinics presented by
Adidas at West High School.
June 17, 2019: J.D. Power presented its Dealer
of Excellence Award to 15 LHM dealerships for
providing outstanding customer sales
experience.

announced the
appointment of
Michael L. Van
Orden as chief
information off icer for
the dealership group. Van Orden will lead the
information technology and computer systems
teams within the dealership group. He will
provide strategic IT guidance and direction of
the company while maintaining a stable and
secure infrastructure and supply accurate, timely
information. Van Orden has more than 30 years
of experience in the IT industry. Most recently, he
served as chief technology off icer at Sportsman’s
Warehouse for 18 years.

Coast League All-Star

Guthrie attended the 10th
annual Basketball Without
Borders Americas Camp.
The camp allowed the top
64 boys and girls from 18
countries and territories to
travel to Medellin, Colombia, to hone their skills
and train with current and former NBA and FIBA
(International Basketball Federation) coaches
and players.
July 3, 2019: Attendance for the final session
of the Utah Jazz Summer League was
9,256, bringing the three-day total to 29,469 at
Vivint Smart Home Arena in downtown Salt
Lake City.
July 10: Larry H. Miller Dealerships
announced the celebration of hosting five years
of the “Stuff for Students” School Supply Drive.
Throughout the month of August, the LHM
dealerships in Denver will invite customers, the
community, and employees to fill a car, truck
or SUV in each of their showrooms with school
supplies for needy children in the area.
