FIFTH ANNUAL DRIVE
FOR GOOD BENEFITS
SPOKANE CHILDREN'S CHARITIES
Larry H. Miller Downtown Toyota Spokane and Toyota
Motor Sales, U.S.A. recently kicked off the 5th annual
Larry H. Miller Drive for Good, an annual program that
recognizes local nonprofit organizations in Spokane
and the important role they play in serving the
community. The Drive for Good was created in 2012 in
an effort to give back to the community of Spokane.
Following an online nomination process and public voting, where
more than 11,000 votes were tabulated, Project Hope Spokane,
Elevations – A Children’s Therapy
Resource Foundation, Inland NW Baby
and Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane
were each selected to receive a
donation for $5,000 to use towards
their organization’s mission. Oversized
checks were presented to each charity
on April 28, 2016.
Project Hope creates opportunities
for youth through community
engagement, job training and
education. They do this by engaging
youth in “green collar jobs” that are
environmentally friendly, including
the development and maintenance
of community gardens. Elevations
– A Children’s Therapy Resource
Foundation helps children with special needs reach their full
potential by providing access to the resources and support they
need to improve their quality of life.
Inland NW Baby is a diaper bank that
distributes diapers, wipes, clothing, and
more to social service programs and
agencies to provide to families in need
in Spokane County. Boys & Girls Clubs
of Spokane County offers a safe and
positive place for children ages 6-18 to
go after school and during the summer
– times of year when kids are considered
most at-risk.
Inland Northwest Baby was one of the
organizations voted by the public to receive a
donation from LHM Charities and Downtown
Toyota in Spokane.
