1. From the Archives Hope at Christmas Colorado Springs, Colorado, 1991 T he December 1991 holiday party at LHM Liberty Toyota seemed to be just like any other—at first. Guests celebrated the season with great food, wonderful decorations, and entertainment from the Ken Miller Quintet. As the evening came to a close, the guests were treated to a visit from none other than Bob Hope, a beloved entertainer for decades. Hope was in Colorado Springs filming a Christmas Special for television, but was able to visit the party, meet those in attendance, and even rehearse a bit for his performance. Bob Hope has since passed away, so the evening was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was a wonderful moment to meet a celebrity and an event those who were there will never forget. ◆ UTAH A Hit Year for Megaplex The Successful Saga Continues I n an era when movie theaters often struggle to compete with online streaming, Megaplex Theatres had a great 2017. Things got off to a big start in March with the opening of a new luxury theatre and only got better from there to the point where Megaplex had their best December ever in 2017.
