Hope at Christmas
Colorado Springs,
Colorado, 1991
T
he December 1991 holiday party
at LHM Liberty Toyota seemed
to be just like any other—at first.
Guests celebrated the season with
great food, wonderful decorations, and
entertainment from the Ken Miller
Quintet.
As the evening came to a close,
the guests were treated to a visit
from none other than Bob Hope, a
beloved entertainer for decades. Hope
was in Colorado Springs filming a
Christmas Special for television, but
was able to visit the party, meet those in
attendance, and even rehearse a bit for
his performance. Bob Hope has since
passed away, so the evening was truly
a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
It was a wonderful moment to meet a
celebrity and an event those who were
there will never forget. ◆

A Hit Year for Megaplex
The Successful Saga Continues
I
n an era when movie theaters often struggle
to compete with online streaming, Megaplex
Theatres had a great 2017. Things got off to
a big start in March with the opening of a new
luxury theatre and only got better from there
to the point where Megaplex had their best
December ever in 2017.
Along the way, Megaplex Theatres was a top
five destination for moviegoers in the United
States for an incredible 22 films, including
Megaplex Theatres at the District for Star Wars:
The Last Jedi, and Megaplex Theatres at Jordan
16
LHM Winning Spirit
Jan/Feb 2018
Commons for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
These numbers are born from a commitment to
having an incredible customer experience that
brings movie fans back again and again.
In fact, fans love Megaplex popcorn so much
that sales of the refillable MegaTub are up 67%
over last year’s sales—a clear demonstration that
there are a lot of people who choose Megaplex for
all of their movie experiences.
