2017 Service Awards

Recognizing Employment Milestones

Larry H . Miller bought his first dealership in 1979 , and since that time , there have been so many acquisitions , new businesses , and changes that it ’ s hard to keep track of them all . In that time , many employees have come and gone , while some have stayed . At the 2017 service awards , Clark Whitworth and other Group leaders honored employees who have been with the company for at least ten years , including a few who have reached the 35-year mark , and several who have been with the Group for 30 years , meaning that they have been part of the LHM Group almost since the beginning .

It is a testament to Larry and Gail Miller ’ s vision of being the “ best place in town to work ” that so many employees have not only wanted to work for the Group , but have also stayed with the Group for so long . Those who reach the 10 , 15 , 20 , 25 , 30 , and 35-year mark are honored at a special banquet , held at various locations throughout the country in order to honor those who work in states outside of Utah . At this year ’ s Service Awards , we honored more than 300 people who reached significant employment milestones , including two who hit their 35-year mark .
Each of these banquets is a chance for company leadership to meet with these long-term employees and to hear stories and experiences that might not otherwise make it to them . This valuable exchange helps everyone throughout the company to learn from each other and to understand and appreciate everyone ’ s various roles . ◆
