Driven to Give
Larry H. Miller dealerships in Colorado, Idaho and Washington team up to give back to their communities with donations and service drives.
In 2016, Colorado dealerships gave back through their 5 Days of Giving Campaign.
The holiday season is a time for giving, and LHM dealerships in Colorado, Boise and Spokane stepped up by personally serving their communities, as well as donating to numerous charities in their respective regions. The dealerships helped promote the spirit of giving by collecting monetary donations, supporting numerous charity drives, and by participating in other meaningful service activities.
COLORADO
In Colorado, the dealerships announced the 5 Weeks of Giving campaign aimed at providing donations to a number of charities all across the state. Employees of dealerships from Boulder to Colorado Springs also took part in service activities, as well as held collection drives in support of children and families. In addition to collecting and providing donated items, Colorado dealerships donated a total of $ 50,000, via LHM Charities, to several local nonprofits across the state.
LHM Spokane dealerships collected boots and mittens for homeless and low-income residents.
WASHINGTON
Not to be outdone, LHM’ s Spokane dealerships partnered with Union Gospel Mission( UGM) and presented the annual donation to their City-Wide Thanksgiving Dinner at the Spokane Convention Center. Each year, UGM provides a Thanksgiving meal— one that includes turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, along with other holiday treats— to more than a thousand homeless and low-income families.
In support of that giving spirit, each store
The holiday season is the time for giving, and Miller Automotive Operations stepped up … collected turkeys to donate to the dinner. Their final turkey total: 175.
In addition, the Spokane dealerships continued their work assisting homeless and low-income residents by conducting a cold-weather drive for boots, mittens, scarves, socks, and hats. Each dealership selected a different nonprofit within the Spokane metropolitan area to work with in order to maximize their impact within the community.
IDAHO
Continuing in the spirit of giving, each Boise dealership participated in their annual Driving for Coats community coat drive, which provides new and gently used coats to the homeless population through the Boise Rescue Mission. The Mission shelters over 400 homeless families and individuals each night, and provides not only emergency shelter services, but also emergency food services, women and children’ s programs, and addiction recovery.
It is clear that LHM dealerships are eager to demonstrate their commitment to our core values of doing good until there is too much good in the world. ◆
