Miller (LHM) Charities helps the communities where we conduct business by giving to nonprofit charitable programs that assist women and children in the areas of health and education. Dealerships in the Phoenix and Tucson markets presented donations to 10 local charities with the help of LHM Charities. Phoenix groups receiving assistance included Operation Outreach-USA, Childhelp, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, LHM Toyota Boulder’s Steve Doersam (right) who announced his retirement as GM in January, presented a check to There With Care. Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation and HopeKids. In Tucson, donations went to Act One Foundation, Literacy Connects, MDA and Wings for Women. Programs that benefited from our support addressed issues such as child abuse prevention, literacy, family social services, child safety and education, family and youth activities, holiday assistance, and more. Kids, Make-A-Wish of Utah, Project Sleep Tight USA, University of Utah, Canary Garden, Restoring Ancestral Winds, Utah County Health Department and Catholic Community Services. In Colorado, a contribution to the Gabby Krause Foundation helped hospitalized pediatric patients, while Lumberg Elementary received aid for desks and computers. Funding in Colorado Springs was granted to Big Brother Big Sisters, and a Boulder donation went to There With Care to support families with critically ill children. A contribution in New Mexico to the American Red Cross helped low-income children learn disaster preparedness. In Washington, a donation to Providence Health Care Foundation assisted a pediatric literacy program and benefited families with hospitalized children. Funding granted in Corona, California, supported a police-sponsored holiday program for local children in need. Donations in Utah to both the Davis and Alpine Education Foundations assisted underprivileged families during the holidays. Through contributions to the Assistance League, low-income children in the Salt Lake area received dental care, and those in southern Utah received school clothes. A grant to HOPE4UTAH addressed teen suicide prevention.
