What is your favourite image that you
have captured?
It’s impossible to choose a single image as a favourite.
But last month I photographed some cacti at dawn
on a hillside overlooking Cairn Curran Reservoir
and right now I love those images. Also the images
I’ve been taking of details like door handles and light
switches inside abandoned houses are becoming
favourites. And then if we were to make it a trio of
favourites I’d add anything with clouds I’ve shot over
that last 12 months, I don’t think anyone can have
too much dramatic sky in their life!
What has been your biggest highlight?
Probably finally getting to meet the guys at
OnStone and actually have them start produce
prints for me. They print directly onto a stone
composite that’s framed using recycled timber
sourced from around Melbourne.
It’s quite a different viewing experience because
there’s no glass to get in the way. And it’s a very
ecologically sound production process that my
customers can really buy into - I mean you can
walk into the place the prints are produced and
talk to the team off the street pretty much -
Print sales are building steadily and that’s a great
experience. So for example, if you were to visit
my Instagram feed or my website tomorrow
and saw an image you liked you could use the
contact form to ask me if a print is possible and
how much it would cost. Then you’re looking
at a one-off every time, a single edition, signed,
dedicated, whatever you’d like. I think that’s
amazing for everyone.
