NEW RANGE the home collective Meet the collabrative work of a mother and daughter team, Jennifer and Emily Hodges. They recently released their new range of eco-friendly textiles Tell us a bit about your business? The Home Collective is a little textile studio run by myself on Melbourne’s Mornington peninsula in collaboration with my mother, Jennifer Hodges, who is a accomplished screen printer and ceramic artist in her own right. Our aim is to create a range of textiles for the home that are on trend, well made and environmentally conscience. All of our textiles are designed and screen printed by hand in the studio using eco-friendly water based inks on natural fibres such as linen, cotton and hemp. Tell us about yourself and your background? I believe that I was born with a creative gene passed down to me by the amazing women in my family. My great grandmother and great aunts were accomplished seamstresses and painters and my grandmother had a flair for interior design (which she discovered whilst living in Paris) and her homes were always alive with bold colours and design, which were way ahead of their time.
