Estate tours offer an unparalleled experience . Guests can take a self-guided stroll through beautiful vineyards , apple orchards and ancient oak woodlands , or join an expert-led tour and tasting .
Balfour ' s innovative wines are known for their clean , fresh and precise style . From our state of the art winery , we create a variety of styles which showcase distinctive fruit on the nose , a wonderful balanced acidity on the palate before giving way to a long mouth-watering finish .
You can stay for lunch and enjoy a sharing platter of locally sourced cheeses , vegetables and charcuterie .
Clonal selection is the key to our winemaking philosophy . In every vineyard , each clone of each variety is monitored individually throughout the year and ultimately harvested separately , only when optimal ripeness is achieved . It ' s this level of attention to detail which makes Balfour so unique .
