Welcome to the first Wine Garden of England Summer Festival !
The eight Kent producers that make up the Wine Garden of England have been working together for a few years to promote the county as the perfect destination for food and wine enthusiasts . We agreed that this is the year for us to throw open the doors of Squerryes Court and share our award-winning wines with you .
We ’ ve invited some fantastic local food producers for you to try , so make sure you find your favourite cheese , charcuterie and wine pairing , and let us know ! Our resident chef at Squerryes is cooking paella , so if you ’ re hungry , head to the conservatory . It ’ s always good to round off your meal with something sweet , so we ’ ve brought you local ice cream and chocolate producers too . In your bag you should have a complimentary glass made by Dartington Crystal ; the only fine glassware company based in the UK . We are excited to announce that we are working with Dartington to design a flute especially for English sparkling wine . It should be available later in the year , so watch this space . With your new glass in hand , head to the tasting tent for your complimentary tastings , using your voucher on page 66 to make sure you don ’ t miss any . You ’ ll be able to buy some of your favourites from the bar by the glass or bottle , and as you leave you can pop into our shop to buy a mixed case to take home .
Patrick McGrath from Domaine Evremond will be talking about the exciting alliance with Champagne Taittinger at 2.30 . If you would like to go but have not bought a ticket , see the reception staff and they ’ ll try and fit you in .
