Awards and accolades for their wines include a gold medal and “ Best in Class ” for Chalklands Classic Cuvée in the 2019 Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships and the prestigious “ Best in Show ” title and Platinum medal for The Roman Road Chardonnay 2018 at the internationally renowned Decanter World Wine Awards 2020 .
The Estate is going from strength to strength and now has the capacity to produce upwards of 250,000 bottles of English still and sparkling wine per year .
In February 2020 , Walpole selected Simpsons ’ Wine Estate , as one of the twelve 2020 Brands of Tomorrow - only the second wine producer to be selected for the programme . Having gone on to join Walpole as a full member , Ruth and Charles Simpson were named as two of the " 50 Most Influential People in British Luxury " on the Walpole Power List in January 2022 .
Simpsons ' Wine Estate offers a diverse range of Experiences throughout the year , from weekday Tasting Experiences to summertime Sunset Session tours , where guests can enjoy a glass of sparkling wine as the sun goes down , followed by a perfectly paired platter brimming with the best in local produce .
The Glass House Tasting Room provides an elegant and intimate space for celebrations overlooking the world-class winery and boasts the unique attraction of a helter-skelter slide from the tasting room to the winery . Events therefore finish with an unforgettable flourish down the “ Fruit Chute ” slide !
