her experience learning to windsurf in

destinations you can find.
Having sailed for most of my adult life, I am no
stranger to the wind and the feeling of cutting
through butter flat water with not a care in the
world – at one with the elements, a salty sea
breeze and the power of the sail at hand.
Having departed the UK at school age for the
sunny seas of Cape Town, it’s no surprise that
summer days for me were all about the ocean,
a blustering South Easterly and a sail of some
kind fluttering overhead.
On a recent trip up the West Coast of South
Africa, I decided to swap my boat for a sail of a
different kind to try my hand at learning to
windsurf.
