Whether a seasoned sailor or newcomer to the sport,
every year thousands of Brits opt for warmer climates.
In fact, more than 65% of us take to overseas waters
every year.
An overseas trip can be the perfect break to try
windsurfing for the first time or put our already well-
honed skills to the test in some of the world’s most
revered windsurfing locations, while sneaking in the
odd cool beer or ‘pina colada’ while the sun is setting!
If you are a seasoned traveller, popular destinations
such as Egypt, Brazil, Mauritius, South Africa, Maui
and Australia, may already be on your hit list; or
perhaps you already have the stamp in your passport.
But if going overseas is a new adventure, the
opportunities fantastic, long haul isn’t necessary and
there is something for everyone. Yes – you can have
that well deserved windsurfing indulgent holiday while
your partner sips sangria on the beach or heads out for
a mountain bike.
One of the great things about many windsurfing
holidays is the centres offer a variety of activities as
part of your package. So, you could do a windsurfing
lesson in the morning and practice in the afternoon or
try one of the other activities at the resort, whether
that might be sailing, biking, SUPing, gym/fitness
classes or swimming for example.
