THINGS CHANGE …

Many of you may already be aware that as a printed magazine Windsurfing UK is no longer . And as of this issue this ’ ll be the last ‘ magazine ’, as such , in digital form . Why so you may ask ? Simply put it ’ s a viability issue . I know , I know , you ’ ve heard it time and again about the cost of printing a physical magazine and why other publications have disappeared . Unfortunately there ’ s no way round it . So that ’ s it , welcome to the last issue of Windsurfing UK . But …
… we ’ re not going away . Windsurfing UK is evolving . There ’ s been too much hard work put into making Windsurfing UK what it is . And having spoken to some contributors they ’ re happy to continue delivering windsurfing related content – Simon Bornhoft being one . Also , there ’ s going to be a new section added to the website to do with classified windsurfing kit sales ( yes , I know this has been done before , but not quite in the way we ’ re going to be doing it ).
Many of you may know Mark Gohegan and his VFW Windsurfing retail set up . If you ’ re not familiar then read his profile in this issue . Mark ’ s biz has a regular turn over of used windsurfing gear , with some new sales kit included as well . He ’ ll be adding his listings to Windsurfing UK in the near future . This should make it super easy for anyone looking to purchase second hand ( quality ) windy gear to find online . As well as Mark ’ s VFW Facebook group , and WSUK ’ s social media feeds , it ’ ll be broader in terms of viewability via the

web . Although I hasten to add that all sales transactions will go through Mark personally with no financials handled by us here at Windsurfing UK .
There ’ re a few other changes that ’ ll be happening to the site moving forwards as well , so stay tuned for those . If anyone would like to get involved and contribute then feel free to get in touch . We ’ re ( I ’ m ) still super passionate about windsurfing and helping give the UK windsurfing fraternity a ‘ voice ’ so to speak . So , onwards and upwards , into 2021 and hopefully an easier 12 months following how this year ’ s been … for all of us .
I ’ d like to thank all the contributors and brands that ’ ve been involved with Windsurfing UK as a printed magazine over the last few years . And you , the readers , for supporting a home grown UK publication . I hope you have a healthy and happy Christmas and New Year . Enjoy this issue and we ’ ll see you again , in a different form , on the other side . uk
