Work on your stance. Waterstart as early as possible (whenever it is windy enough try them). Inevitably you’ll have read this and thought, okay that’s great but ‘I’ want to tick the planing, harness, straps, tack and gybe boxes. Well so did I, but I now know through my own experiences and more importantly from coaching literally thousands of others to fast track through the sport, it’s a whole lot quicker, easier and more fun if you don’t get fixated on the move itself and get good at the supportive skills that help you learn!
