Amplimesh is a brand synonymous with Australian security screens, but did you know they turned 50 this year?
Yes, the exclusive national dealership of Capral Aluminium, Amplimesh Security Screens, has turned 50 and has had over 2 million installations of security screen products around this great country of ours.
The brand with a Great White Shark on their logo was thrown into fame originally back in the 1980s when a young Valerie Taylor, diver and shark expert, filmed Amplimesh: Diamond Grille products under water with real sharks for a series of TV commercials.
The developments and pushing the boundaries haven’ t stopped there.“ The market has moved on from Diamond Grille. We now have fantastic strength engineered products like SupaScreen( 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel) and IntrudaGuard( Marine Grade Perforated Aluminium) for the home owner and the fabricator to enjoy under the Amplimesh brand,” explains Jack Ryan, Business Manager for Capral Aluminium,“ Recently, we had a full size motorbike ride continuously over a newly launched security screen product for Amplimesh for TV and live on social media. It had never been done before, that’ s 300-400 kg of weight each pass! The vision went viral. In the technology space, we created a world first: a Security Screen Augmented Reality visualiser which allowed people to see a screen on their home and how it would operate, prior to making a purchase. But the big news is that to commemorate our 50 years, we have unveiled another industry first; Australia’ s Best Security Screen Warranty( 16 years) on our number one selling product, SupaScreen ®.”

Claudene Damianakis recently joined the NSSA Secretariat team in Sydney. We asked her a few questions to introduce her to the membership.
WHAT KEEPS YOU MOTIVATED TO STAY IN YOUR CURRENT FIELD?
I’ m looking forward to achieving set goals for our planned growth in 2018 and working with a collaborative and supportive team.

I love cooking and entertaining, bushwalking / hiking and football( soccer).
