SCM GROUP NOW IN AUSTRALIA
G
abbett Machinery, Australia’s
leading supplier of professional
woodworking and aluminium
machinery, is proud to announce its
incorporation with SCM Group to become
SCM Group Australia. With a working
relationship spanning over more than two
decades, the decision to make the transition
to operate as SCM Group Australia
was a natural progression for the two
organisations.
Making the official announcement at the
recent AWISA 2016 Exhibition, SCM Group
Australia have committed to a high growth
plan in Australia for the immediate future,
with a focus on automation and improved
production processes.
Mr Luigi De Vito, SCM Group Woodworking
Machinery Division Director, explains, “Our
goal is to offer the Australian woodworking
industry our entire range of solutions,
the most extensive in the industry - from
machining centres and edgebanding
machines to solid wood machining, timber
construction systems, sanding and finishing
solutions, not to mention our exclusive
CMS machinery range for processing wood,
plastic, glass, stone and advanced materials.”
SCM Group Australia will continue to offer
all current product ranges including FOM
Industrie, Holytek and TigerStop.
40 Australian Window Association
Exhibiting at AusFenEx16 for the first time
as SCM Group Australia, visitors had an
up close and personal look at the latest
machines and techniques specifically for
Australian manufacturers. Working with
local and international software suppliers,
the FOM Industrie range of machines with
capability to import data direct from the
office – including all cutlists, machining codes
and barcoding, were on show.
FOM Industrie has an enormous sum of
knowledge SCM Group Australia calls
upon to solve any aluminium manufacturing
issue. SCM Group Australia will continue
to provide the very best machines in the
industry to process panels, solid timbers and
other materials including aluminium sections.
SCM Group Australia and the FOM Industrie
brand work alongside leading Australian
aluminium suppliers to provide their
customers with the very best equipment and
support in this emerging field of technology.
To ensure Australian customers continue to
receive the same level of service they have
come to expect, all the sales, technical and
administration services will remain as they
have always been. Customers will be able to
benefit from increased stock and availability
of fast moving items for both machinery and
spare parts, along with a streamlined service
response with direct access to the SCM
Group worldwide network and support.
SCM Group Australia has committed to
expanding service departments to even
further reduce response times.
SCM Group Australia will operate with Barry
Gabbett as President, and Lee Gabbett
as Managing Director and Member of the
Board.
“This new direction will have a positive
impact for all our customers. Now as part
of the worldwide SCM Group, we can offer
direct access to the full range of SCM Group
products, from entry level machines right
through to full turn key production systems
– all from one organisation,” states Lee
