appy New Year and welcome to the
first edition of Windows for 2016.
While activity levels varied from state
to state last year, overall, 2015 was a strong
year for our industry nationally. This was
largely driven by the record number of new
dwelling commencements, which reached an
all-time high of 215,329 housing starts in the
year to September 2015. This was 15 per cent
above the previous peak of 187,000 starts
way back in 1994.
