These facilities have been used to teach thousands of talented equestrians over the decades . Home to three outdoor and one indoor school , cross country training field , off-road hacking , a horse walker and 66 stables ( 12x12 feet plus ) all with rubber-matting , automatic water drinkers and hay bars , alongside a solarium , hot wash , cross tie area and weigh bridge , the centre is also home to the state-of-the-art Sir Mark Todd Rider Performance Studio which boasts a Racewood Performance Simulator named Charisma , Childeric Saddles , 360 camera equipment , 3D Qualysis analysis system for biomechanics research and dedicated student study areas .

Dawn till dusk
AS THE Equine Centre is home to both college and private horses it is a hive of activity from 8am-8pm , seven days a week .
The yard opens at 8am to allow all livery owners time to spend with their horses , whether this is mucking out , turning out , riding or anything in between , it all happens prior to the college day starting .
Yard sessions start at 9.45am and from then through until 4.30pm you will find sessions being held in all areas . The team of coaches split their days with a variety of sessions such as riding , lunging and practical sessions , whilst technicians host students on the yard to emulate a real working environment .
The students on the yard are responsible for the day-to-day care needs of the horses and are able to partake in activities such as assisting with the vet , physio and saddler , all whilst mucking in with the jobs that would be expected of them in industry .
Alongside the average college day , higher education students will be found collecting data for their dissertations . As 4.30pm rolls around the yard changes pace as the livery and loan owners enjoy their horses until the yard closes at 8pm .
