BURNS NIGHT AT THE GURKHA MUSEUM

The Gurkhas have a long affiliation with Scottish regiments . Gurkha and Scottish troops fought side by side throughout the world – from Egypt to India , Burma to Bosnia , and Malaya to Libya – where soldiers from the 7th Gurkha Rifles and 2nd Camerons were the last to march into captivity at the fall of Tobruk in 1942 .
For Burns Night on 25 January , The Gurkha Museum is celebrating this relationship as well as the great poet Robert Burns , with a black-tie event in the McDonald Gallery , a three-course Scottish themed dinner and a tot of whisky – or two !
