A free no-obligation initial meeting determines exactly what a buyer wants , with Helen then working for up to five months to source suitable property . A nominal fee is payable on engagement , with clients then charged a percentage of their purchase price on completion .
“ I am happy to negotiate on my clients ’ behalf and this can often more than cover the fees I charge ,” she says . “ I can also save my clients a great deal of time by viewing property which on paper may tick all their boxes but in reality is disappointing .”
There ’ s also the added value of Helen ’ s local knowledge and the fact that she works on behalf of the buyer rather than the vendor . “ For some clients , commute times and proximity to sports clubs and facilities will be important ,” she says . “ For others it might be about getting the right school and children ’ s activities .

Once an offer has been accepted , Mulberry Home Search can advise on surveyors , solicitors and other professionals and even oversee the entire process . And after completion Helen can recommend tradesmen , from builders and architects to decorators and landscape gardeners .
