partially obscured by the reredos . While most of the window stayed in Fromond ’ s , the donor panels were returned to Thurbern ’ s in 1960 and the spaces below the figures ’ waists filled with fragments of sixteenth-century glass ( fig . 20 ).
In 1978 , several figures from the fourteenthcentury glass in chapel — that removed by Betton and Evans — returned to the college and were installed in the east window of Fromond ’ s Chantry . In anticipation of this , the early sixteenth-century glass that remained in Fromond ’ s was removed in 1977 and reunited with the donor panels in the south wall of Thurbern ’ s Chantry . Despite the window ’ s movement between the two buildings , the current arrangement is an almost totally faithful reconstruction of its original appearance at the beginning of the sixteenth century .
