Safety Council { 7 / 14 / 11 }
The Safety Council ’ s mission is to “ create and foster a culture of safety in order to advance the mission of the college by improving the community ’ s knowledge , appreciation of safe practices , improved campus accountability and guidance , and to formalize inspection , verification , and measures of success .” The Safety Council is comprised of staff , faculty , students , and residents and is chaired by the Vice President of Operations .
Annual Events { 7 / 14 / 12 } Williamson ’ s annual events for students and alumni include :
• First Year Experience ( FYE ), a four-day leadership and teambuilding experience , FYE is designed to help acclimate new Freshmen students to Williamson ’ s core values , its institutional culture , and their peers ;
• Convocation , a long-standing tradition in Higher Education when the college formally begins the new academic year ;
• Homecoming , a day of football , soccer , and cross country for alumni , students , and parents ;
• Founder ’ s Day , a day to honor the college ’ s founder , Isaiah V . Williamson ;
• Career Fair ( s ), an opportunity for students to meet and engage potential employers on campus ;
• Junior Leadership Expedition ( JLE ), an integral part of the college ’ s student leadership program . Encompassing the entire Junior Class , JLE provides a unique outdoor leadership experience that prepares students for their role as a supervising senior ;
• Student Achievement Awards Ceremony recognizes the outstanding academic achievement by the college ’ s Juniors ;
• Annual Sports Awards , an event honoring Williamson athletes and teams ;
• Scholarship Dinner , an event to recognize student scholar recipients and the supporting sponsor ;
• I . V . Club Induction Ceremony , when select seniors are extended the highest honor and inducted into the I . V . Club for superior leadership in exemplifying Williamson ’ s core values ;
• Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony , recognition of the induction of new members into the Phi Theta Kappa society ;
• Senior Capstone , the culminating Lenfest Leadership program event for seniors ;
• Commencement , when Williamson celebrates graduation .
THE DAILY ROUTINE

In order to prepare students for full-time employment upon graduation , Williamson requires its students to follow a structured daily schedule that begins early in the morning and extends to dinner ( and often beyond ). The typical daily schedule is as follows :
