Regardless of location , all students will stop and show respect to the flag as noted in the paragraph above . In the event that the scheduled practice or game is cancelled , athletes MUST report to Evening Lineup . ( The Athletics Director will declare the official beginning and end of each sport ’ s season based on game schedule only . Off-season workouts and team activities are not considered “ In Season ” for the purposes of Evening Lineup .)
Following the flag lowering , the OD will account for the Seniors , then Juniors , then Freshmen . During inclement weather , at the OD ’ s discretion , Lineup will be held in the Lower-Level West Hallway , with students proceeding in an east to west direction .
Following Evening Lineup , Seniors ( not on probation ), as well as Juniors who have made the Dean ’ s List ( 3.67 GPA ) the semester prior and not on probation , are permitted to leave campus ( See also , “ Juniors with Senior Privilege ”). All other Juniors , all Freshmen , and students on Academic or Disciplinary Probation may NOT leave campus during the week .
Weekend Dismissal
Weekend Dismissal occurs in front of Rowan Hall typically at 4:30pm on Fridays and resembles Evening Lineup in every way , except students are permitted to be in After Class Dress . Following the flag lowering , students are checked for attendance . Those students with Friday Early Dismissal privilege will be dismissed by the OD FIRST , in class order ( SRs , JRs , FR ), followed by the rest of the student population , also in class order . ( When the college is not operating the boilers , Power Plant students who sit shift on Friday afternoons must report to Weekend Dismissal .)
Chapel { 6 / 14 / 23 }
As part of Williamson ’ s commitment to providing moral and character , a nondenominational religious service is held each weekday at 7:30 am in the Chapel in Rowan Hall . Because Chapel is a vital part of the college ’ s program , all students must attend . Chapel services emphasize ethical and spiritual values presented from a Judeo-Christian perspective , and include speakers from the staff , alumni , student body , and community . Students may not bring food or drinks into the Chapel and all outerwear and backpacks are to be left on the lower-level wall hooks while students attend Chapel .
Williamson recognizes and supports students of different faiths . Students requesting accommodation due to an obligation of their faith should contact the Chaplain or Student Affairs office .
Campus Elevators { 8 / 1 / 15 } Students may not use elevators on campus without permission from the administration .
ACADEMIC INFORMATION
Study Hall : Day { 6 / 20 / 17 }
When students have a period with no scheduled class , they must report punctually to the library and sign-in for Study Hall . Students may stay in the library or sign-out to their shop or faculty office if meeting with a member of the faculty . Seniors may also sign-out to the Placement Office and Power Plant students may sign-out to the Lipp Center . No other locations are approved , including the dorms . Students who fail to sign in or out at the library , or who are not present at their sign-out location are considered AWOL .
Study Hall : Evening { 6 / 10 / 20 }
Evening Study Hall is required for all Freshmen and Juniors who are on Academic Probation or who require additional academic support as determined by the Vice President of Academic Affairs .
