Expanding the Williamson Opportunity

Building on the foundational success of the college ’ s 2016-2021 Strategic Plan , Williamson College of the Trades is positioned to boldly expand the vision of its founder , Isaiah Vansant Williamson , in offering a life-changing opportunity to deserving young men . Through its five Strategic Goals , associated initiatives and tasks , the college ’ s 2021- 2026 Strategic Plan centers on four central strategic themes :
• Expand the Williamson Opportunity through increasing student enrollment by 20 % ( 60 students ) by 2024 , while concurrently setting the conditions to further expand enrollment an additional 20 %.
• Through innovative student assistance initiatives and mentorship opportunities increase student retention to 85 %.
• Through creative marketing strategies , outreach , and expanding partnerships , attain a 4:1 ratio of qualified to selected applicants in each trade program by 2026 . Attain a 75 % student Pell Grant eligibility rate per trade program .
• Through comprehensive programmatic , curriculum , and operational planning set the conditions to introduce a new academic trade program to the college .
