DOLLY AND HERB 7W1 FANKHANEL
Herb Fankhanel and his wife Dolly recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and look fondly back to the time when they first met on a blind date when Herb was a freshman at Williamson . “ I can appreciate the commitment and the great opportunity Williamson provided for Herb . We experienced the highs and lows together , and we both know what a difference Williamson made in our life . God has provided for us and always will , and we want to help others ,” Dolly shared .
An annual donor for over 40 years , Herb said they had been thinking about joining the Wanamaker Society for some time and finally decided to take the final step . “ It was always a goal to be able to provide for one student ’ s education and joining the Wanamaker Society helped us fill the gap and complete the goal ,” said Herb . “ Although we are behind-the-scenes people and don ’ t like a lot of recognition , we feel good about our decision to support the school beyond our lifetime . We want to see Williamson continue to grow and flourish , and this is how we can ensure that happens .”
Herb is a 7W1 graduate from Construction Technology - Carpentry . He and Dolly have two daughters and five grandchildren .
