____________________________________________________________ Howley Dormitory Groundbreaking Ceremony Held
Construction of the 72-bed Howley Dormitory began with a groundbreaking ceremony in March . The dormitory is named Howley Dormitory in honor of the Howley family , the generous donors who contributed $ 7 million toward its construction . W . Nicholas Howley is the founder and chairman of the Howley Foundation and his wife , Lorie Howley , is president of the foundation ’ s board of directors . The three-floor dorm will have 24 students , a student lounge , shared hall bathroom , and a dorm manager apartment on each floor . When it is completed and in use in August 2024 , Williamson will have the capacity to house nearly 400 students . Other significant investments in this project came from Daniel L . Baker , Baker Concrete Enterprises , Armstrong Foundation , Crystal Trust , McLean Contributionship , and an anonymous donor .
