Frank Burke , the founder of BLB & B Advisors and BLBB Charitable , its giving arm , was a longtime board member and supporter of Williamson . BLBB Charitable ’ s support of Williamson continues Frank ’ s legacy , but our interest in its work goes beyond simply his legacy because Williamson ’ s mission aligns with the strategic vision and values of our current foundation board .
A key value of BLBB Charitable is to invest in programs that give young people the tools and resources they need to lift themselves out of their situation and make a path forward for themselves . With that in mind , BLBB Charitable supports organizations that foster deep connections and educational and leadership opportunities for young people . The Williamson model stands out in this region ( and nationally ) as a transformational alternative to four-year academic institutions for certain young men .

Our support of Williamson , however , is unique in that it is not directly focused on its work with current students ; rather because of its creative approach , sound strategies , and strong leadership we have invested in its growth through building up its alumni relations and alumni engagement . We know , and are now seeing the first inkling of this with Williamson ’ s stellar work over the past few years , that a robust alumni engagement and support will help current and future students , as well as the institution , thrive . ”
