The number of students competing in athletics have exploded .
Jr High Boys – 165 playing Football Jr High Girls – 130 playing Volleyball or Basketball
High School Girls – 150 currently in Athletics ( Volleyball , Soccer , Basketball , Tennis , Softball and Golf )
High School Boys – 200 currently in Athletics ( Football , Soccer , Basketball , Golf , Tennis , Baseball )
From 7 th Grade through 12 th Grade that is 645 in an athletic period . Those numbers don ’ t include Track or Power Lifting .
That is close to ½ of our student population competing as Wildcats and LadyCats !
Next Thursday the Palestine Wildcats will face the Jacksonville Indians at 7:00 pm . The Game will be televised live on CBS / KTXA Channel 21 ! Students will get in for $ 1 . 6 th Graders and under must be accompanied by a parent . The first 2000 fans will receive a Free T-Shirt .
Cross Country will compete in their first meet of the year this Saturday in Crockett . Currently we have over 90 students running in our cross country program .
The Varsity Football team defeated Waco La Vega the first game of the season .
Volleyball season is well under way . The LadyCats will be home next Tuesday night against Grapeland .
