Palestine ISD students have “ WORLD CLASS ” character ! During last week ’ s football game against our old rival , the Jacksonville Indians ; the Wildcat football team took the lead , fell behind , and then regained the lead ending the game in a goal line stand preventing the Indians from scoring . The Wildcats not only played tough , they played with great character and ultimately won the game .
Five years ago , the PISD Board of Trustees adopted a strategic plan for 2010-2015 . The results of this strategic planning process can be seen throughout the district . We have come a long way and we want to continue expanding opportunities for students . As the 2010-2015 plan reaches its conclusion , the district has already begun the process of developing a new strategic plan we are calling “ Vision 2020 ” that

will guide the district through 2015-2020 . I will share more with you about plans for Vision 2020 at TACE parent meetings on September 22
nd at 5:30 pm in the Northside Primary Cafeteria and again on September 24
th at 5:30 pm in the Southside Elementary Cafeteria . A review of the 2010-2015 plan is available for review on the district ’ s website ,
www . palestineschools . org . A Vision 2020 survey is also available on the website for anyone interested in Palestine ISD continuing on the journey to become a “ World Class Academic Organization ”.
Enrollment reached 3396 this week and we are so close to the 3400 mark . Keep up the good work everyone , we will get there !
