National Grandparents Day is this Sunday , September 7 th , so Palestine ISD students asked their grandparents to visit them for lunch at school this week . Be sure to remember your grandparents this weekend .
We are excited to see our 4-12 th grade students receiving iPads made available by several grants the district has been fortunate to receive . Many thanks to the PISD Technology Department staff who have been very busy with the iPad deployment , holding meetings with parents and students to review policies and procedures for the iPads , and teaching students and parents about digital citizenship .

On Friday , September 12 th , all parking lot areas and the bus loop at the A . M . Story Intermediate campus will be closed for asphalt sealing and striping at 5:00 p . m . If you are parked in any parking lot areas at Story on Friday , please be sure to move your vehicle by 5:00 p . m . The sealing and striping process will not be completed until Sunday , September 14 th . The parking lot areas will reopen for school on Monday , September 15 , 2014 . We appreciate your patience as work is done to improve facilities .
As we approach the anniversary of 9 / 11 , please remember the victims , survivors , and all those who serve our great country every day so that we are able to enjoy our many freedoms .

TACE programs began on September 1 st and students are already having lots of fun and definitely learning at the same time . Everyone is invited to the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration that will be put on by the TACE Program on Monday , September 15 th from 6:00 to 8:00 p . m . Come out to the PHS Cafeteria and enjoy the student speakers , food , music , dancing , mariachi , and lots of activities . |
