At Story Intermediate, parent involvement is a high priority! Our goal is for parents to feel like the doors to our campus are always open and the environment is always positive.
We have already provided several opportunities for parents to visit our campus and become involved. Story hosted a Meet the Teacher Night in August and an Open House/Report Card Pick-Up in September. Parents also were present on campus during homecoming week helping prepare Story’s entry in the homecoming parade and helping to craft mums and garters for the students to wear for homecoming.
These events are just the tip of the iceberg because there is so much more to come! After each six weeks grading period, an awards ceremony will be held to honor students who make the A and A/B Honor Roll. Our Fall Festival is on the horizon. This night will be filled with games, food, and fun for the whole family to enjoy. Our TACE program will also be hosting monthly events. Be on the lookout for more information about these exciting opportunities. Story will also host its annual Thanksgiving Feast in November.
Spring will be here before we know it, and it brings the sound of music with it. Our Fine Arts Exposition will feature our band, choir, and dance classes all displaying their talents. We are also looking forward to our Second Annual Field of Readers. This event was a huge success last year, and we look forward to making it bigger and better this year!
Information is always available by joining Story’s REMIND group or through our weekly newsletter. We encourage you to get involved by joining our PTO. The yearly membership drive is happening now!
