the residents have diabetes, this proactive group of seniors has asked me to provide some recipes and help work with their kitchen staff to provide more healthy options for meals. What an opportunity to go beyond direct education and help them make some positive changes in their environment. Did I mention that a former Dining with Diabetes class participant referred their Activities Director to me? They have asked me to return to do a diabetic meal planning program soon.
