This month’s Volunteer in the Spotlight comes from Crawford County. Gary Shanholtzer is one of our most dedicated volunteers. Gary has been on the Crawford County Fair Board for over 20 years helping to ensure a successful fair. Gary has been the 4-H swine superintendent for over 15 years. He has great dedication to 4-H youth. Gary has also expanded his volunteering helping with the Kansas Junior Livestock Show. He has also been a producer of 4-H show pigs and goats for many years. Gary works for Producers Coop and strives to connect with resources and opportunities they provide. He has created a great family tradition of dedication to 4-H youth with his wife Becky; children Rachel, Beth, David, Abe; and grandchildren Jett, Grace, Charlie, Afton, Maggie, and Brodie. Thank you, Gary, for your many years of dedication.
