This month’s events included an appearance on the KOAM TV’s Wildcat Wednesday program. I talked about the Emerald Ash Borer situation occurring in Delaware County Oklahoma. The talk went very well and I received numerous comments about the episode.
Barbara Ames, Jeri Geren and I presented the “Growing Your Own Salsa” lesson at the Southeast Area Research and Extension Center in Parsons. We had about 40 to 50 participants. My presentation covered growing and caring for the garden crops; I did this by discussing my favorite garden tools in the sequence of preparing the seed bed, planting, cultivation, and irrigation. Thanks to my wife’s suggestion, I spiced up the program by wearing a sombrero!
I was also a guest speaker at the Via Christi Lunch and Learn program. My favorite presentation is the Gardening Q & A where the audience sets the topics of discussion after I talk about some current gardening issues and concerns.
